The story I have is that Craig was a private pilot, and died doing what he loved.
Craig was my college roomate at Simpson. He lived in a van on campus in the ATO frat. parking lot at times to save some bucks. Sue was a gem. He played football and got his degree in History in 3 years...dedicated, in love and a great flier!
Craig Barrows tragically lost his life in the crash of a Lear Jet Model 25 D on January 19, 1979 while landing at Detroit's Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Craig was the First Officer (co-pilot) on this flight. Craig and I were on the football team throughout our time at NTW. He is missed as a classmate, teammate, and fellow professional pilot.
