Mark Alan Fischl 19 years old, suddenly, beloved son of Edward and Dorothy Fischl ; dear brother of Terry, Robert and Ellen; adored grandson of Irma and the late Dr. Elmer Ascherman and Julius and Edith Fischl ; dear nephew of Leonard, Dr. Gerald, Dr. Norman and Dr. Stanford Ascherman.
Mark made quite an impression on me......I was quite straight-laced and fearful of authority, and here he was in Mr. Ziebert's homeroom seemingly confident and able to differ with adults.....He played the hell out of drums and I remember going to his house and listening to jazz records (I will never forget hearing the high-pitched Maynard Ferguson trumpet he had)....He seemed to have every record on the planet.........We had great fun smiling and giggling at one another during band when the teachers seemed to take it soooo seriously.........I remember hearing about his death and being very sad........Thank you Mark for your distinctive being!!!!!!!
